George Hitchcock, 1914-2010
Editor and teacher George Hitchcock died in his home in Eugene, Oregon on August 27, 2010, at the age of ninety-six. He was the editor-publisher of the legendary kayak magazine and kayak books, a poetic maker and shaker for decades, publishing such people as Michael McClure. Raymond Carver, W.S.
