Marsh Rising presents "Trump Sonnets or: How I've Taken on Donald Trump (and won)," written and performed by "Alaska's fiddling poet" Ken Waldman, joined by musical guest, John Pedersen, directed by Ken Waldman; Ken Waldman has processed Donald Trump's unlikely rise by writing 220 sonnets in the two years after the November 2016 election, that's three books, seventy-five poems are in Trump's voice, with 145 poems of commentary; the show is a combination of Appalachian-style string-band music, original poetry, and stories of how Waldman wrote these poems, and what's happened when he's read them around the country, including to arch-conservatives, ages sixteen and over, The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia Street, San Francisco, $15, 7:30 (415/282-3055, themarsh.org/rising/rising)
