Julia Vinograd Cancer Support Fund Benefit with featured readers: Thaisa Frank, Richard Loranger, Jack Foley and Sangye Land, Jan Steckel, David Gollub, Judy Wells, Dale Jensen, Steve Arntson, Deborah Fruchey, Kathleen Wood, Russell Reza-Khaliq Gonzaga, Harold Adler, Fred Dodsworth, John Rowe, Julie Roberts, and more, open mic reading follows; Julia Vinograd, celebrated Bay Area poet for over 50 years and unofficial "poet laureate" of Berkeley's Telegraph Avenue, recently received a cancer diagnosis, Harold Adler and other friends are holding this fundraising reading to raise funds for Julia's 24-hour care needs, all of the proceeds are going directly to Julia Vinograd, Art House Gallery & Cultural Center, 2905 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, $15 to $150 donation, doors open 4:30 for open sign up and potluck, bring a dish to share, reading 5:00-8:00, all ages and wheelchair accessible (510/472-3170; if you can't attend the benefit, go to the GoFundMe page: www.gofundme.com/poet-julia-vinograd-cancer-support)
