Fifteenth Annual Judith Lee Stronach Memorial Lecture on the Teaching of Poetry, "Writing a Homeland," will be delivered by poet and translator Salman Masalha, Ishq Mu'ajjal (Deferred Love), who writes and translates in both Arabic and Hebrew; distinguished poetry translator Chana Kronfeld, The Full Severity of Compassion: the Poetry of Yehuda Amichai, will introduce him, a reception follows the lecture, Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, 2121 Allston Way, Berkeley, free, 3:00 (magnes.berkeley.edu)
