MFA Creative Writing Public Events presents a reading and panel on writing dialogue by Thomas Burke, an instructor at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism, Kim Culbertson, novelist and creative writing teacher, Marianne Rogoff, author and teacher at San Francisco State University, and poet David Watts, Dominican University, Garden Room, Edgehill Mansion, 75 Magnolia Avenue, San Rafael, proceeds benefit the MFA Scholarship Fund, one-day pass for afternoon talks January 7-12: $30, 4:30-5:30; reading is free, 7:00-8:00 (www.dominican.edu/academics/lae/graduate-programs/mfa-creative-writing/public-event-schedule)
