David Meltzer Memorial Tribute for the late, beloved poet associated with both the Beat Generation and the San Francisco Renaissance (1937-2016), with Clark Coolidge, Diane di Prima, recorded message from Lawrence Ferlinghetti, George Herms, Jack Hirschman, Marina Lazarra, Michael McClure, Julie Rogers, Jerome Rothenberg, and Sunnylyn Thibodeaux, emcee Garrett Caples, opening by Steve Dickison, co-sponsored by The Poetry Center and City Lights Books, refreshments, Humanities Auditorium, HUM 133, San Francisco State University campus, 1600 Holloway Avenue, entrance near Tapia Drive, just off Holloway, San Francisco, free and open to the public, 3:00-5:00 (415/338-2227, poetry.sfsu.edu)
