Beyond Baroque presents an evening of poetry in tribute to poet Dorothy Barresi, Post-Rapture Diner, winner of the American Book Award; an inspiring teacher and active poet in the Los Angeles literary scene, Barresi will be joined in a reading by poets, former students, and colleagues including Kim Young, Patty Seyburn, Suzanne Lummis, former Los Angeles Poet Laureate Lynne Thompson, Elena Karina Byrne, Marsha de la O, Dan Murphy, and Iván Salinas, emceed by Dan Murphy, followed by a brief Q&A with Dorothy Barresi facilitated by Kim Young, Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center, 681 Venice Blvd., Venice Beach, Los Angeles, free, 7:00-10:00 pm PST (RSVP to attend: www.beyondbaroque.org)
