City Lights Books presents a tribute to the life and work of Theresa Hak Kyung Cha (1951-1982), a poet, filmmaker, and artist who worked in a variety of mediums, including film, sculpture, handmade books, and performance, this event celebrates the publication of two new books, Dictee, a postmodern autobiography, and Exilee and Temps Mort: Selected Works, two related poem sequences that explore language, memory, and alienation, featuring poet Brandon Shimoda, The Desert, publisher and writer Reese Williams, and curator Christina Yang, moderated by artist and poet Linda Norton, Wite Out: Love and Work, co-presented with Asian American Writers' Workshop and University of California Press, free, online via Zoom, 6:00 pm PST (Register to attend: citylights.com/events/)
