Gallery 2727 presents a poetry reading to benefit Amnesty International, in response to the death of Mahsa Amini, a twentytwo-year-old Kurdish woman who was killed at the hands of Iran's religious morality police, and the ensuing street protests in Iran, the reading features Iranian-American poets Farnaz Fatemi, Dena Rod, and Sholeh Wolpe, and Iraqi poet Zeidan, hosted by Persis Karim, Gallery 2727, 2727 California Street, Berkeley, $10-25 donation requested will go to Amnesty International-Iran, 3:00-5:00 pm PDT (More information here: www.facebook.com/events/452496216926323/?source=6&ref_notif_type=plan_user_invited&action_history=null)
