Mechanics' Institute Library, in conjunction with City Lights Books, presents Leila Mottley, 2018 Oakland Youth Poet Laureate, discussing her debut novel, Nightcrawling, a dazzling story about a young Black woman living in Oakland as she clashes against the failures of its justice system, in conversation with novelist Margaret Wilkerson Sexton, The Revisioners, winner of the 2020 Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize and an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work, sliding scale admission, no one turned away due to lack of funds, in person, Mechanics' Institute Library, 57 Post Street, San Francisco, 6:00 pm PDT (Register to attend: citylights.com/events)
