Poetry Flash presents The Dialogue of Poetry, a ten-week workshop beginning on Tuesday April 19, 2016, lead by poet and associate editor of Poetry Flash Richard Silberg. The first half of each meeting is devoted to discussing the work of one published poet, and the second half to reading is for discussing poems written by the workshop participants. This workshop consists of ten, three hour sessions on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-10:00. This workshop is open to all levels. There is a $250 fee to participate. Journalist and essayist Elizabeth Fishel hosts two groups, the Wednesday Writers Group and the Friday Writers Group. The groups are open to writers of all levels and groups meet on both Wednesdays and Fridays in Fishel's Rockridge living room in Oakland. Both groups meet from 10:00a.m.-12:15 in two sessions, fall and winter/spring. Both groups meet twice monthly. The 2016 Winter/Spring Session of Wednesday Writers begins on February 24th and meets twice monthly through May 25. The dates are February 24; March 9, 23, 30; April 20, 27; May 11, 25. Fee: $320 for eight meetings. The 2016 Winter/Spring Session of Friday Writers Group begins on February 19th and meets twice monthly through June 3rd. Patti Trimble leads two writing weekends in Spring 2016 on the Point Reyes Peninsula: April 22 (Earth Day) to April 24, at the St. Columbas Retreat on the Inverness Mesa; and June 10 to 12 at the Historic Lifeboat Station. These weekends include workshops for new poetry and prose, and time for writing and walking in West Marin. This workshop is offered through Point Reyes Field Institute, and Point Reyes National Seashore. Open to all writers. There will be rustic accommodations, along with a potluck dinner.
